The rule that saves money
Match the fiber to the exposure time, not just the weather. A one-season construction tarp line in UV-stabilized PP is a rational buy; a flagpole halyard in the same rope is a replacement program. Compare:
- Seasonal / replaceable outdoor use → UV-stabilized PP 3-strand
- Multi-year permanent lines → polyester twisted or solid braid
- Outdoor + shock loads (mooring) → nylon
What to write in the RFQ
