Monofilament Twine
Twine twisted from round single filaments — stiff, abrasion-tolerant and rot-proof. The global standard for fishing net repair and aquaculture.
How it is built
Round monofilament yarns (commonly PE, diameter ~0.15–0.5 mm per filament) twisted into plies, then plies twisted into twine. Specified by filament diameter and ply count (e.g. 210D systems) or by diameter/runlength.
How it handles
Firm and slightly springy; holds knots well; tolerates abrasion against net frames, cages and hardware.

Strengths
- High abrasion tolerance for its size
- Rot-proof, non-absorbent — permanent underwater use

Limitations
- Stiffer hand than multifilament twine
- Not suited where soft handling is required
- Small diameters limit working loads

Polyethylene Rope

Polypropylene Rope
The most widely used synthetic rope fiber: lightweight, floats on water, rot-proof and economical. The default choice for packing, marine utility and agriculture.
