Packaging is a specification, not an afterthought: it changes freight volume, warehouse handling, retail readiness and unit price. These are the formats you will be choosing between.
The main formats

How to choose
Distributors and industrial users → coils and reels. Lowest packaging cost, dense palletization, cut at destination.
Retail chains and hardware brands → cut-length packs or blisters with private labels. The product is the packaging at shelf — invest there, save on the rope spec discussion later. Mixed color assortments per carton are normally possible; state the ratio.
Agriculture → balls and spools sized to the machine’s twine box. Wrong ball size = downtime in the field. See PP baler twine.
Marine and installers → made-to-size assemblies (cut, spliced, coiled, labeled per unit). More expensive per unit, cheaper per installed line.
Freight reality
Rope is bulky: freight often costs more than the rope itself on economy products. Coils compress better than reels; reels protect product better than coils. For container planning, ask for coil/reel dimensions and pallet quantities with your quotation — and state your destination in the RFQ so freight terms (FOB/CIF) can be quoted properly.
